Cookie policy

One entry to remember your answer. The rest is optional.

Declining leaves every comparison, link and page on this site working exactly as it does now. Nothing here is gated behind consent.

The basics

What a cookie is doing here

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so that something can be remembered between page views. Related technologies — local storage in particular — do much the same job by a different mechanism, and UK rules treat them the same way. This policy covers both.

Under UK law, storage that is strictly necessary for a site to function can be set without asking. Anything else, including measurement, needs your consent first. That is why the notice appears at the foot of the page on your first visit and why declining it changes nothing about the content.

What this site actually sets

Your consent choice — necessary

When you press either button in the cookie notice, we record that decision in your browser's local storage under a single key. It exists so the notice does not reappear on every page, and it holds one short value: whether you accepted or chose essential only. No identifier, no timestamp trail, nothing that could be linked back to you.

Aggregate measurement — optional

If you accept, a measurement cookie may be set to count page views and understand which comparisons are read. It is used in aggregate to decide where editorial effort goes — that the head-to-head section earns its place, for example, or that a particular review needs expanding. It is not used to profile you and not shared for advertising.

Fonts and hosting

Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to their servers when a page loads. That request is subject to Google's own privacy terms and is not something we set a cookie for. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which is a normal part of serving a site and is covered in the privacy policy.

What this site does not set

No advertising cookies. No cross-site trackers or pixels from social networks. No behavioural retargeting, so nothing here is responsible for a casino advert appearing elsewhere in your browsing. When you follow a commercial link to an operator, any cookie set after that point belongs to the operator and falls under their notice, not this one — the affiliate disclosure explains why those links carry tracking parameters at all.

Two entries at most: the record of your consent choice, and an aggregate measurement cookie only if you allow it.

Control

Changing your mind

The record of your choice lives in your own browser, so clearing this site's data removes it. In most desktop browsers that is under site settings for jackpotdraft.co.uk; on mobile it sits in the browser's privacy settings. Once cleared, the notice reappears on your next visit and you can answer differently.

Browsers also offer broader controls: blocking third-party cookies, blocking all cookies for a site, or using a private window that discards storage when you close it. If you block everything for this site, the consent notice will reappear each visit, because the mechanism that remembers your answer is itself the thing being blocked. That is inconvenient rather than harmful, and no comparison on the site stops working.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not set optional cookies unless you have accepted them, so a browser signal expressing a preference against tracking is consistent with what happens here by default. There is no separate opt-out to configure.

If the list changes

Should we add or remove anything, this page is updated and the effective date at the top changes. A materially new purpose would mean asking for consent again rather than relying on a decision you made about something else.

Questions

Anything about storage on this site can go to hello@jackpotdraft.co.uk. As set out on the contact page, we cannot help with cookies, accounts or settings at a casino — those belong with the operator concerned.
